Sports are shit but NFL is by far the most interesting of the main sports. It's the clear stand out from Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, which are basically back and forth and shoot object into thing. I literally have no idea what sports broadcasters would talk about before or after soccer(football) games. "yeah they need to kick the ball into the goal and run faster and kick better". Say what you want about the NFL but the turn by turn chess match playing out between defense and offense and the whole higher level separate game being played the play callers is far far more deep strategically. It's not even close. If europoors think of it as a turn-based battle then maybe they can comprehend. These are modern gladiators even if the NFL sees the value in protecting their stars, they are the peak performing men out there basically willing to destroy themselves for fame, money, and entertainment.
Baseball seems to be it's own thing. One interesting thing about baseball is that you can see the best any given day without much prep. Like you can walk over to Yankee stadium and get good seats and have fun because they play 10000 games a year. It's also a strategic game but quite boring.
And yes, likening any one team without a very deep knowledge of their management and lore is monkey-brain shit.
