That’s a nice selective summary but it leaves out the part where the <colonists themselves> built their economy on slave labor. The colonies that became the richest (Virginia, the Carolinas, Louisiana) were literally powered by enslaved Africans long before the 50 stars flag even existed.

And yes, slavery is ancient, but the transatlantic slave trade was uniquely industrial, millions of blakcs shipped like cargo to fuel Europe’s sugar, cotton, and tobacco empires.

Claiming the West ended slavery is like bragging about putting out a fire you started lol
