I saw a twitter post from a guy talking about how the anime giving Ruri a completely different outfit for the gold chapter than what she had in the manga presumably meant that the animators took extra care to come up with a new outfit they wanted to see her get wet in, knowing that she was going to get soaked in the river in what she was wearing.
