In every modern game I can think of, women are mechanically identical to males and have the same opportunities to progress: Xcom, Dark Souls, even GTA now. Crusader Kings 3 comes with full toggles in every facet to let women ahistorically perform on an even playing field. AAAs are expected to be chock-full of accessibility options so any denthead can say they finished it, there's nothing stopping women from actually buying and playing these games where they can map paint or click heads with the boys. The vast majority of them just don't want to unless they're directly financially linked to doing so via streaming.
