In my opinion community made gifts like this, no matter the quality are worth a thousand times more than someone paying for a commission as a gift. Everyone coming together and creating a bunch of different pieces all full of passion and all from the heart is a wonderful thing, and I think her reaction to it proved as much. Way better than some random art commission. Good work.
