>Genshin aesthetic is all over the place if you compare all regions
Yes and all of it is solidly Fantasy with references to historical real world cultures mixed together with fictional 'technology' which either comes from ancient fantasy civilisations (Stone/Wood + Runes with unexplained mystical energy sources) or is modern Fontaine tech which has a stylised clockwork/steampunk brass aesthetic to it. All of which looks great and fits coherently with the themes of Teyvat
Until you get to Nod Krai which randomly has full steel floors in the middle of a forest with steel gates carrying mechs straight out of Warhammer. This does not make sense, in terms of the material use, in terms of the visual aesthetic, in terms of the lore links to anything used anywhere in the game. We have seen inside Snez in the Harbinger trailer and they are shown inside a stone cathedral/palace with obvious Russian influences. So why the fuck are we getting full steel floors and walls and doors? Where is all the metal coming from and why are they using metal for everything?
