Not really. There are things that are coming back into value after they were thought to be worthless. The first example to come to mind is vinyl records. They went from worthless to a collectible 20 years after we all donated them to thrift shops.

Certain VCR's are now extremely valuable and sell for far more than their original price on ebay. Same with high end music equipment.
