>It’s not the same as bombing and killing Venezuelan leadership
Military enthusiast here. Replying not even to try to change your mind, but because others may find it interesting.
1: You may think what you will of the Venezuelan government, but their military doctrine, which is focused on defense and deterrence of an invading force, is quite solid. Venezuela has the best AA in South America (one of the deficiencies of the Brazilian army, sadly). They have the largest number of portable AA assets that are equivalent to American MANPADS. A conventional bombing campaing against them would be an arduous task, since generally, troops could fuck off into the jungle and defend themselves with such assets.
2: Bombing doesn't collapse governments on its own. Venezuela is heavily sanctioned already, limiting the effects of further sancitons.
3: Millions of Venezuelans who despised Maduro fucked off from there already. This makes it so that for the most part, the ones that are still there are ones that either support him, or have no agency to even leave, much less rise up, undermining any eventual effort of regime change (a similar situation to Ukraine in this specific regard)
4: You forget the tendency of people to gather together in support of a government when they feel threatened by an external actor. Happened a couple of months ago in Iran, after the US/Israel failed yet another regime change operation. Happened here last month after the US sanctions, making people support a clown like Lula even when they wouldn't otherwise
>Talking with leftist delusional scum like you
I'm not a leftist - pointing out that the US has tried and failed to coup Maduro a number of times in recent years doesn't make me one.
