Just popping in to say that this image is literally a Catch-22.
If what's happening is true, this means that either A. Despite the media preaching tolerance since the beginning, the supposed fans never understood this message which means the message failed or B. The message behind the media has changed in ways that fans no longer resonate with.

Either way, the end goal is fans are mad at what either did or did not change .

My only real problem with transgender people is that most of them seem to "discover" they were trans because of videogames and anime. If watching Sailor Moon is what led you to discovering you were trans, that's fair enough, but you can't really deny that it comes off as weird and hasty that the start of possibly the biggest decision of your life was based off what anime girls made you feel. I mentioned this and I got called a bigoted idiot.
