Circumcision isn't supposed to be a literal cutting of your penis, the 8th day also has symbolic meaning. In the NT, Jesus himself says the OT was symbolism for his life on earth.

The 3rd temple and the red heifer are both representative of Jesus. There is no "perfect" cow that's going to redeem humanity, it's talking about Jesus. This is so basic.
