I really like Umi no Misaki for example because is not like most harems where things end at the very end, we have huge progress that build upon each other, you can actually see the progression and how that affect things, it doesn't feel like most stories where things happen because the author feels like it has to happen that moment where is most convenient for him/her.
I want stories that feel bigger than themselves, where the characters are strong enough that they feel like they have an agency on their own and that is natural to the consequences of the previous actions.
I am tired of seeing harems where character who spent years together are less comfortable with one another than casual friends are.
