Funny, these are both of mine, with The Wind Tunnels and The Chambers of Torment running close behind.
There's wrong with episodes 1 and 2, but I wanted to exclude them because I feel like it's with episodes 3 and 4 where the team really understood what they could do. That makes sense of course, more time to have become familiar with the tools, with the monsters, with the rhythms of combat. But The Pain Maze and Azure Agony in particular are exemplary of a "playfulness" that Doom 2 evokes throughout its entire run. They are absolute torture to play in co-op, but otherwise very nice choices lads. Thanks for engaging me in good faith.
