Because his weapon against Nous will cause the collateral damage of at least several solar systems. Even if you don't count the people in the simulation as people, with how abundant sentient life is in the cosmos in Star Rail, Irontomb just existing is apparently enough to end life in a magnitude of several solar systems wide, if not on galaxy-wide scale. Sure you can argue that you'll need to have that level of firepower to go against an Aeon, but to not care about who's going to die in the process is a sin in and of itself.
