I've got myself a Nemesis and some clothes. Didn't think too much about it at first, then I've started putting together an avatar, and I honestly can't remember the last time i had so much fun doing that

>everything's done in a very simplified, cartoonish style
>simplified meshes that feel less like an accurate object with minimal styling, and more like an abstract icon of what they should be
>simplified textures that often pull solid color through the majority of the object
>wanted to have a tie, but clothes only had a bow-tie ribbon thing
>threw away some of the geometry, pulled vertices around until the remaining bits look more like a tie
>looks perfectly fine because rest of the model is also cartoonish, didn't even touch the texture, texture was pretty much a solid color with minimal shading anyway
>thinking about making my own clothes from scratch. probably won't be the most beautiful set of clothes around but I think I might be able to pull it off, this style is just so forgiving
>and this avatar just feels so right in motion, it's so expressive, everything you do to it comes with minimal effort and maximum results

I would like to apologize to mamehinata gremlins for my needless criticism. I understand now, this was the right way to go all along. Didn't have this much fun since the times when everyone had a crappy kitbash from ten different model sources.
