No, they were serious. This was a quickly sidelined initiative to "decolonize language" by taking out references to titles of nobility among other things. They also tried to tell people it was racist to say: "killed two birds with one stone" because it used "violent language" before having to pivot to justifying killing Palestinian babies because everyone realized how evil jews were.

They routed this back out during the Kirk murder to try to tell people it wasn't violence to murder somebody but it was violence to tell them they can't nurse people.
