Yeah I relate. I did have a weed phase, quit since then, but in that phase I liked people just for eye contact and figuring out what things to say that would make them happy. This was not when I was stoned, but more like morning-after-stoned. People can seem like dogs or children in that frame of mind. Just interesting characters to play with. But I think that weed is mostly Chinese pesticides now, so I don't recommend.
