i had superlux 668bs that i modded with removable cable and they were seriously godlike

not comfortable, but audio-wise, amazing.

i have sennheiser HD800S now, which are $2k headphones if you buy them atm (i got them for $1000 new in an amazon pricing error) and i would say philips shp9500 and superlux hd668b sounded 90% as good in terms of locational audio. not as high resolution obviously though
