Well I'm a meritocrat, so while I despise anyone who thinks they rule me, I do respect the hierarchy. The people who are already rich and powerful have won and I respect winners. So any appreciation I have is merely the respect I have for a skilled opponent. If you don't respect a skilled opponent and underestimate them, they will continue to beat you.
