Context: Anti-government protests in Serbia have been going on for months. But two days ago they entered a new phase. Police, in coordination with organized crime groups, began attacking demonstrators. (Organized crime groups are connected to the ruling SNS party)
A large number of police officers are "taking leave" while military veterans have joined the protesters.
