actors aren't real people. nobody seems to understand this nowadays. everything about them is carefully curated, they don't dress themselves, they don't pick what to say in interviews, they don't choose where to go. everything is scripted, everything is a take. normgroids will talk about actors like they know them, like "x is so kind to interviewers!!" or "y is so down-to-earth" not realizing they fell for the trick, they bought the persona some PR guy made up for them.

I'm definitely forcing any sons I have to lift weights as soon as they turn 15 or so. ideally they'll become interested on their own but they'll lift either way. I look back on how many gains I sacrificed by not starting sooner and I won't let my sons live with that regret.
