My prediction from a psychological analysis. Nick and Katchii can't and won't last another 6 months. It's very hard for someone like Katchii to move away from their home country that late in life. Her Mom was a source of misery for her but also the only true love she's ever had in her life. Austin Texas is like marmite, it's seems people either really love it or hate it. The urge to move back to manila will be too strong and it will lead her to find faults in the relationship with Nick to justifiy her going home. It's not like Nick can't fuck it up on his own anyway.
