as I see it many are obedient only in appearance and there's more civil resistance than one would expect at first. of course more like quiet refusal (to obey) e.g. the coming internet clown laws where they want to northkoreafy.
doesn't seem to go down well with a lot of them.
and authoritarian regimes first cracks isn't some flashy revolt but people not having anything to lose anymore and therefore not giving a fk about "repercussions" - that whole empire is built on fear
