Hijacking this thread.
I had a voucher and spontaneously bought a flight to Tokyo for a week in mid September for less than $500. Never been, not a weeb, not into big cities so much. Love history, nature walks, and hot springs. I dont speak a word of Japanese or even know much about the country. I'm looking at a few days in Tokyo, then either going to Nikko or Hakone for a few days to go to relax in hot springs and do nature walks. Any suggestions on where I should go or if there's anywhere better? I know it's like the most basic babbys first Japan trip but it was a complete spur of the moment decision. Never been to Asia before.
