I tried the solution from /e/ where you update the buf(?) files using this https://www.patreon.com/posts/shine-effects-01-45111240 but the problem still exists.

Think I found out what made my HUD toggle broke.
Somehow my mouse didn't register the front side button as XBUTTON2. But it did work when I went to browser and use it to forward pages.
Weird
