Vessel definitely has issues related to being discarded, so it sees Kris as "me but good". Probably pretty clingy too, but also very sweet, since it was given good qualities after all. And unlike Kris, who actually has his own will, Vessel would be very passive and only develop some vector out of desperation and after imprinting on someone. I like to imagine Kris just finds this mute half-human during one of his solo detours and it keeps following him and clumsily trying to be helpful. Also (You)'d get an option to try and body hop into Vessel and Kris would have the moral dilemma of letting you do it or protecting the kid based on (You)r actions.
