I initially went to get this screenshot because I remembered it supporting your first point. Then I reread it and decided it actually supported Mike legit being implausibly dumb. Now I'm really not sure anymore. In my gut I feel like Mike's hesitation means something and he would've moved on from Sandy if he hadn't gotten pushed towards Sandy by everyone he knows.

I guess I'll just drop this here since I have it.
