It largely depends on two things:
a.) do Snake's new control scheme and mechanics feel right? Or do they completely shit the bed? Trailers made it look slow and cumbersome, as if they slipped new animations in and hadn't finished it yet.
b.) will UE5 slop not get in the way, considering the small PS2 areas the game still utilizes? I don't expect it to look dazzling by any means, just "modern", with all the pratfalls that inclines.
I don't expect TPS abilities to make the game balanced by any means, but I don't expect sweeping overhauls to systems and mechanics to be worth a damn either. And the Foxhole mode doesn't mean anything to me. I am rather curious if the Classic Mode would play as it should or has compromises, too.
I didn't buy the Master Collection for a variety of reasons, so this isn't some commercially redundant option for me, but I don't really feel like I'm itching to see it either.
