it did retroactively take away from the gravitas of Onesies, yeah.
but I think what mightve happened was the creators sat there and thought "look at this sad little pop tart dog, what did she ever do to me? who am I to create her, give her one wish in life just to then deny it forever?" and so they fulfilled their creation that impossible wish.
i mean, the episode basically spells it out for you when Bluey (or Bingo, it's been a while) asks" Why do stories always have happy endings? " and the teacher answers" I suppose because life gives us enough sad ones.". Yes it is a wish fulfillment story, just like the confluence of coincidences that results in them keeping the house. And it's rightfully controversial for that. But I can understand why they did it (and we don't know if there was other factors at play here, such as someone on or close to the team suffering a miscarriage themselves). And I far prefer it to the inverse, show makers letting everything end terribly and dissatisfyingly to "subvert expectations".
