I did in in like 1995 when I was young.
Played the most of the "classics" when they were new.
Still missed out on the older "classics" though.
Last console was a Genesis and then didn't get one till Xbox (and about a year after it came out). That and Halo still blew us away when we first played it. Had the same experience when I first got a 360 and Kameo (sat that and waited for the cutscene with the horse and tons of enemies on a hill to end...didn't realize it wasn't a cutscene (similar to the rail sequence in Half-Life). I also spent a bunch of time in first person in the home zone just looking at flowers in that game, the 360 was a game changer.
Shame about the Xbox One and series X (grabbed a Xbox one Halo 5? edition and maybe 3 total games for it)

I want to get a treadmill and game while walking but about the only thing I play now for the most part consistently is WoW.
Maybe one of those N100-150 machines would work but just wouldn't be able to play WoW, could do the Yakuza series or other stuff through Nvidia link or whatever.
That and Girls Frontline 1 and 2, and the occasional RTS (SupCom, Rise of Nations) and HoMM
Should get back into all those old NES games (and my parents Intellivision) I used to play (did a Retropie forever ago as it is a Rasberry Pie 3). That or EmuVR for my Quest 3 (HTC Vive broke 2 years ago)
