Technically it's not outright pedophilia, since a lot of the victims were past puberty. It's hebephilia/ephebophilia. There are a lot more people who are attracted to 15 year old girls than there are people attracted to 8 year old girls.
Most men are attracted to adults and most attracted to mature women in their early 20s, but there's not a magic switch that means you aren't attracted to 16 year olds (physically). People don't chase jailbait because of moral boundaries.
My guess is that they a lot of those rich guys are amoral, and don't care about harming people. So they are more willing to cross moral boundaries such as abusing sex trafficked children and women, in order to get what they want.
But it also could be that they intentionally want to cross moral boundaries out of perversity, and like hurting people.
