Drajeweled Magnus having the 0 immediately does mean you can essentially go Ignis against a G2, since you end up getting an effective 15k to all of your attackers if you find another Drajeweled into soul, which the deck can somewhat easily do, especially if it finds Valack. Lithosargor also makes for potentially five attacks if you find the CB for it that can then bait out damage triggers for Magnus to wipe out, even the Overtrigger.
That alone is pretty damn scary and is a good reason people say that while Magnus doesn't compare to Ignis as a main boss, it's lethality over the original Drajeweled going into turn 3 cannot be understated and it sets up into Ignis very well with that soulcharge from drop that also lets you recur off of Zagan and Geodrahl; the problem is that Magnus as a boss is extremely clunky when compared to Ignis, who was designed too well to be seriously powercrept without making a tier 0 deck,
>G4, gets a 20k off of Twincast and can be searched with Forbidoll
>has extremely powerful support only it can use that still hasn't been powercrept
>Zagan, who would be banned in Premium if any less thought was put into the effect
>getting 15k and the extra drive every turn by default is strong; makes switching to Magnus' comparatively absurd conditions on the 15k and extra drive feel like shit
>is the entire Burgen-Truck that filled up on gas and runs over the opponent's back row every turn
>all of the support just draws for some reason, and I mean ALL of it, everything Ignis has is either adding to hand or is Zagan, on top of doing shit like turning anything into a restander and setting up soul without tearing through the deck
Ignis had way too much going for it and any comparable support, like Geodrahl, runs the risk of making another Bav'
Definitely feels like Traumend learnt from Magnus' mistakes
