I feel like people just forgot how much of an important success The Great Mouse Detective was for Disney, had this movie blundered and flopped, there would not be an ounce of Disney's animation reinessance (nevermind that the furry hood movie was a flop too) and it's insulting to not see her get put on a high pedestal.
