Samefag, but honestly done over I'd have had
>Release 1: Total War Bronze
1200BC. Sea People invasion. Playables are Agamemnon, Priam, Hittites, Ramesses, Assyria, Babylonia, Irsu, then probably given the size of Egypt just figure out Rammy's biggest rival. DLC can be Sea People, Thracians, Nubia, Elamites, and then have a Trojan war mythos mini campaign. No truth behind the myth nonsense.
>Release 2: Total War Iron
As I said, 730 or so. While the personalities are literally whose you get a pretty good spread of factions - honestly better than in Pharaoh. You just don't have as iconic figures as Agamemnon and such.
That said, going 'DYNASTY' emphasis (IE more htan one person) and having >>2169831 would have been perfect. Start the game 1100s era tech, end the game 700s-800s era tech. Begin with 2 horse chariots for Assyria and end with 4 horse cataphract chariots. Begin with more medium infantry Mycenaeans and end with hoplites whose foot charge is straight up cavalry on foot in its lethality.

The goal I frame it as is the historical influence and inspiration is there, but not outright imitation. Given the actual 1:1 imitation would suck with disease and routing doing almost everything.
