That's actually untrue.
Russia is the last country on earth that preserved the mentality that war is a big sports event.
The Americans just wouldn't get it, you only ever fought a civil war, and had a bunch of embarrassing overseas campaigns like Vietnam. Of course you'd say "war is tragedy" for you it is.
The Europeans used to have the "war is sport" mentality, but they have been occupied by the Jews and buckbroken so badly they forgot that war used to be fun and profit.
But Russia still has it, after all the shit we still have never been destroyed or occupied completely, there still is a sense that war - it's when you kick ass, take what you want and things are great. Yeah sure sometimes it goes badly like the Ruso-Japanese war, just try again.
In fact the Russians fear peace, because peace is when everything falls apart.
