I would argue that having millions of people starve to death is the exact opposite of successful industrialization and even if it were somehow correlated as you disingenuously imply it is still absolutely detrimental to industrialization to have this many people die.
No amount of gained productivity that could have been expected at that time would outweigh this amount of death and misery even if you're a sociopathic subhuman that ignores the death and misery and just looks at the economic and technological output.
