No, it didn't 'kill' the raid scene. It killed the SERVER raid scenes. Every 'serious' raider transferred to Sarg or Gil. You could not raid if you did not play on those servers. That's literally all that happened. The vast majority of the playerbase didn't touch raid content because the entire MMO space was massively different, and people assumed savage was equivalent to WoW mythic and most players had zero interest in touching it.
