> aespa - Rich Man first impressions
>Rich Man
I like it. Way better than dirty work. The demo for this one was horrible but they managed to save it. Interesting mix of rock guitars and programmed drums, but a bit same-y. Not sure if it's on the level of their 2024 run but it's good.
>Drift
Just like "Set the Tone" on Armageddon the first b-side is some dogshit noise music. Jason Derulo whistle sample. The bridge is the only section where they sing but why even bother if the rest of the song sounds like THAT.
>Bubble
Another shitty rap track but this one makes a lot more sense. Can see the artistic vision here at least. Okay.
>Count On Me
R&b. Okay. Liked Giselle's vocals.
>Angel #48
Why did they include a chill bubblegum pop track on this mini lol. Fun. I really like it though, probably my favorite on the album. This type of sound is really rare for them more something you'd expect from the new SM rookies.
>To The Girls
Obligatory ballad. One for the yejibros.
Overall: Title track is good, and with aespa that's all that I expect anymore because the bsides are always so hit-or-miss (mostly miss). Not a single true poprock song in this rock themed mini which is a shame and thematically it's really all over the place, but will be jamming to Rich Man
