I'm enjoying Surge 2 at the moment. I was worried about the change of setting from a megafactory to a walled-off corner of a city but it turned out for the better. It's like if Dark Souls stayed in Undead Burg all the way.

Combat's still not very satisfying though.

Is it worth learning how to directional block i.e. parry in this game?
I cleared Surge 1 ignoring the jump/duck thing completely because it didn't provide much benefit for the added hassle. This directional block thing doesn't seem that useful either.
