>Older set of characters, possibly in a work environment, going for drinks, smokes, karaoke after work
wont happen, even though the older characters are consistently the best ones. Maybe Wolf will open the gates for playable adults again but unlikely.
>Party members actually acknowledging that you spend time with and/or are dating one of the other members
Absolutely, second-era Persona suffers a lot from the SLs existing in a bubble and the main story having to pretend they dont exist. P3 having all the main characters development and personal goals to be involved in the story was good but that game suffers from many other issues.
>paty members can date other members or cast members outside of the party
people will whine if they ever do something like a canon Kanji/Naoto, they need to be cordoned off to NPCs like Junpei/Chidori and even then some people will still whine anyway about the one party member not orbiting their dick.
>Ditch the whole "I'm on vacation for a year for some retarded reason" thing.
genuinely disagree, the separation from your character's normal life and being dropped into a new environment is a good gameplay/narrative harmony with starting the game and stepping out onto the Fool's Journey.
>Make social links/confidants more than just telling the person what they want to hear
they'd need good writers for that but yeah agree I like the stuff the third-era team did for Royal and Scramble so I'm willing to huff copium
>have more time to spend outside of dungeons
most conflicting statement of the whole lot, I can see the vision but Persona is supposed to be a hybrid RPG/VN and the second-era games already heavily encourage interacting with the RPG as little as possible by single-day clearing any dungeon content. I'd honestly want *more* RPG but again, its conflicting.
