Here is your first and final mistake. You assume people have actually watched/read/played whatever piece of media they're currently arguing about.
Most people "watch" stuff with a speed modifier, or watch it on the second screen, or watch it while doing something else.
Sometimes they don't even watch it at all, they just saw youtube shorts/tiktok edits, and quickly read about the show online.

People don't watch stuff anymore, they consume it. I realized that back in the days with Game of Thrones already, it was the most popular show for an entire decade, yet very little people could actually discuss it more than 20 seconds, curious.
