I feel like Limbus's combat would feel more enjoyable to someone who hasn't played Ruina because they wouldn't know how much of a downgrade it is, however I did play Ruina so going from that to winrate spam was perhaps one of the least pleasant gameplay whiplashes I've had going from one game to its sequel
Ruina was one of if not the most fun turn based game I've played man, I keep hoping that now that PM made a gorillion dollars off their gacha they'll make a kino game like what they used to make but it's looking pretty grim in regards to getting anything other than gacha service for the forseeable future
