Dreams about relationships are your minds attempt to answer your questions about the nature of love. Its a way to experience how a relationship will be without having to be in one in the waking world. They can even be wish fulfillment according to some analysts.
Jung describes the human psyche to possess the energy of both sexes. The female energy as the animus and male energy as the anima. Of course you being male the anima is stronger and the way you operate but the animus still exists deep within. When we dream of courting or being in a relationship with real or fictional people in our dreams, this is the embodiment of how your animus would be like. We often idealize our sexual counterpart in dreams because they are a reflection of what we would look like as a female, or how we wish our partners would be like. They are a female representation of your animus; of yourself.
To be married to someone in a dream means many things and varies on whether or not the dreamer is married in the waking world, who they are being married to and for how long they have been married. In your case I see youre not married and I believe in your post context you are single. To be married to a stranger in your circumstances is signifying the joining of your animus to your anima. The need for embracing your feminine side or at the very least acknowledging it. Maybe the dream is telling that you have already embraced your animus and you are at peace with it (you entered the waking world with a sense of peace.) If this is not the case, this can represent the joining of two separate aspects of your personality (your emotions and your logic, your spirit and your corpreal body, ect.) This can also be the marriage of two completely mundane things or matters and reaching peace with it.
