The "Angels Detachment" evacuated four Ukrainian Defenders from Russian-occupied territory, where they had been hiding for more than three years.
Among those evacuated were a marine, three National Guard soldiers, and a hospital medical worker who had helped hide Defenders.
The operation was planned and divided into several stages, taking into account that the people involved were in hiding, the high intensity of combat, which was complicated by intensified filtration measures by Russian special services. The primary goal was to eliminate any threat to the lives and health of the Defenders.
"Now our warriors are safe and finally with their families. Angels Detachment of the Ukrainian Navy has now rescued 88 people, once again proving that nothing is impossible for Ukrainian Warriors. We fight for every Ukrainian," Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, said.
