It's both Digimon's greatest strength and weakness. Digimon can tell some great coming-of-age stories and the designs are pure kino. But the games lack direction and there's no central focus to how they should play. Hopefully Digimon Story sets the standards for the series going forward and smaller experimental projects springing from here to there.
