I've seen some theories about how Lin Ling is related to Zero because of his newly ignited rivalry with E-soul (just like Dawnfall), how much sun imagery (like Zero's chest hole), and how much God's eye imagery (zero became a god) there is in his arc. I also wonder if there's some sort of sun and moon meaning going on when Moon herself was killed in ep 4. Not to mention, we still don't know his backstory, and his lack of friends and family caring about his fake suicide is worrying. He's the only character in the Bilibili polls that only has 1/3 trailers unlocked (everyone else is 2/3 or 3/3) so despite seemingly wearing his heart on his sleeve, he's surprisingly just as mysterious as X.

I don't take this theory too seriously, but how much of a stretch would this theory be?
