Unreal Engine 5 is not the issue here.
The issue is the laziness and failure of the developers to tailor the engine to a specific art style. Ask yourself honestly why that is.
How is it that games running on Unreal Engine 1 or 2 or 3 could look unique but the ones on 4 and 5 look like carbon copies of each other?
The year of release matters. We had competent passionate devs before. Now we have DEI devs, and you need to open your eyes to this problem.
