Previous directive included small devices with internal battery such as mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, headphones, headsets, portable speakers, handheld video consoles, e-readers, keyboards, mice, portable navigation systems, and earbuds.
From 2028, all external power supplies in the EU must use USB-C - with detachable cables and greater energy efficiency. This includes devices such as laptops, routers, monitors, TVs etc.
I myself welcome our USB-C overlords.
