One of the most surprising things about BO3 is how much they put into random lore entries about how shit has changed since BO2 and how the world devolved to another Cold War clone with factions clearly meant to be stand-ins for NATO and the Warsaw Pact. And how tech has progress and 3D printing has advanced so far that smaller machines can manage what used to take whole factory rooms, even how many export economies crashed. There's articles saying how the lion's share of most nation armies are robots and in-universe debates on the ethicality of robot soldiers. Girls Frontline would be different if it had BO3 3D printing tech. You'd easily fit those machines you get weapons from on the Elmo and get manufacturing abilities comparable to whole factories. This would also be terrifying for all the enemy factions because they'd never die for good so as long as one futuristic 3D printer exists to shit out Vespids or Cyclopses or what Paradeus uses.
