The FPS community has been psyopped into accepting cheating. It's basically like what Tarkov was before that dude released that wiggle video and showed it was absolutely fucking rampant. The reality is like 10-15% of players are unrepentant cheaters, including pros, and the ones that are left over have to pretend that it's not cheating because it damages their egos to admit otherwise. It's the equivalent of being a trader and having to pretend that Nancy Pelosi is actually just making wise picks and isn't an insider trading cunt.
I walked away from online FPS long ago. The response of game devs is to use ridiculously invasive anti-cheats that don't even work, which they will use to fuck you over in the future. Fuck online shooter games, and fuck anyone that defends this cancer. That is all.
