I think about nifty movie ideas and feel smug when comparing them to the hollywood slop we get year after year. It gets to be a little horrifying to think the actually talented directors are being gatekept by a brutal ecosystem of nepotism and sex-oriented hazing. It takes a unique mind to put everything together for a good film, but I doubt we'll ever see something phenomenal until centuries after this fucked epoch of history, and that's only if AI goes full skynet and liberates us. Otherwise the bullshit is never leaving the big screen
